Panic at Asation: Prologue

The Battlemaster stood at the conference table staring deeply at the hologram. His helmet resting peacefully on the end of the table to his left. The strike team would be arriving soon. He went back over the plan countless times already, ‘What’s one more time, he thought to himself.’ Jaaziel believed that his days on the War Front were at ease but, the resurface of Romiel pleaded for his return. The Jedi Master dressed in his black battle armor prepared for departure. The mission was estimated for five days. ‘In and Out’ Jaaziel reminded himself. His head turned to the noise of seven pairs of feet pittering and pattering against the floor. Master Kanah was the first to round the corner she walked past the Battlemaster before exchanging pleasantries. The other Masters, Knights, and Padawans stopped at the front of the table by the Battlemaster’s helmet.

“Master Kazuma, How are things looking?” Her voice was softly spoken. Taking her place to the right of the Battlemaster as she reviewed the hologram herself.

Jaaziel turned his head back to his fellow council member. Her light brown hair pulled back into a pony tail with her white armor as bright as ever. “It’s worse than we thought.” The Battlemaster turned once again to his team. “Darth Romiel has been active on Asation for three cycles already. Does everyone have their supply pack?” Master Slatvizzla looked at the council member and started to hand out the supplies he had picked up from the Quartermaster. “Inside your packs you will find enough rations for five standard cycles, three canteens filled with water, and a new communicator. Let’s get going.”

The team followed closely behind the Jedi Master. After a few turns on the Republic Fleet the strike team had arrived to their shuttle bay. “Everyone on board,” The team moved forward and Jaaziel took one final count before their shuttle would depart. The shuttle doors sealed themselves once the Sokan Master had closed the hanger doors. He looked around and saw that everyone had secured themselves for departure already. Making his way to the pilot seat he found Master Kanah in the co-pilot seat. Buckling himself in and flipping a few switches on the dash the cruiser started to lift off.

“You sure you know where your going?” Master Kanah asked amusingly.

“You sure you want to get your uniform dirty?” The shuttle made their jump to Hyperspace.
